Real Club Deportivo Espanyol is a historic club with one of the best fan bases in Spain, known as "Los Periquitos." But... where does the name come from? Why periquitos? Many theories exist, some more far-fetched than others, but Reale Insurance sets out to unveil the mystery through the documentary 'The Mystery of Los Periquitos.' A 15-minute documentary in which Carlos Marañón, an Espanyol fan and son of Rafael Marañón (a historic figure of the club), sets out to unravel this mystery with the help of players such as Tamudo, Lozano, and Mato; devoted fans such as Enric González and Susana and Tomas Guasch; and even historic figures such as Paco Flores and Javier Clemente, among many others. We created this content in collaboration with Ogilvy, developing a documentary inspired by the film noir canon.
